Commentary Mo' On Radio News — 14 April 2014

On this program, we started off with why it’s just not funny when a shoe is thrown at Hillary Clinton and it’s actually worse in some ways than when two were thrown at President Bush. The shoes were thrown at President Bush in Iraq by an Iraqi journalist. To show the bottom of one’s shoe, especially throwing them is often regarded as the highest sign of Muslim disrespect.

But it came from a non-US citizen in a war-torn country. If disrespect was to be “expected” on some level, coming from an Iraqi citizen during the height of the war was probably the time and circumstance.

But an American citizen for reasons quite unclear to do so says far more about how we’ve slipped as a nation. Listen in as I make the argument and see if you agree.

And by the way…stop trying to sell me on 5Linx, Organo Gold, Herbalife, 2×2.net, ACN…et al.  We had PLENTY of thoughts on THAT!

Also, we joined in the search for missing music executive Debra Hughes, who vanished without a trace in January. It is a heartbreaking story and mystery…yet hopefully with a good ending.  (This segment specifically can be found at 25:00 in…shuttle there for the latest)

Of course, we get our nerd and geek on in hour two and close the show with another edition of “When Animals Attack” and banging our heads on the desk. (You’ll see what we mean).
